Eating after Bariatric Surgery

Eating after Bariatric Surgery

by Why Weight / Tuesday, 02 July 2019 / Published in Tom Talks

Will I ever be able to eat normally again? Many patients worry that their social world will negatively change after a Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy. This fear, although completely normal, is totally unfounded. After a sleeve procedure, patients return to a completely normal diet over time. The main differences are portion control and lack of hunger and cravings. Patients will typically eat much less than prior to surgery, and they will not experience the same hunger and cravings that caused them to eat the unhealthy foods. Thus, patients’ eating habits will change, but for the better! In fact, patients report enjoying date nights and social gatherings more after surgery because they are able to spend more chatting with their friends and family rather than eating unhealthy foods.

For more information on the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, visit our website drtomlavin.com. To schedule your free consultation or discuss financing options, insurance coverage, and pricing, please call (877) 691-3001.
