Let’s SPRING into Action

In with the new healthy lifestyle, and out with the old excuses! Spring is here, and that means we are finally able to venture outside in the warm sunshine. We are also fortunate to experience more hours of daylight during this time of year. All this to say, it’s time to get moving!

            Exercise is a fundamental element to a patient’s weight loss journey. Beginning an exercise routine can be daunting, but don’t talk yourself out of it. Find something that suits you, set reasonable goals, and stay dedicated. In time, this will turn into a healthier lifestyle for the long-term. Remember, even if you’re only walking 20 minutes 3x per week, you are still beating everyone on the couch.  

            Here are some ideas to get yourself moving:

1. Take a walk outside with your dog for 20 minutes. Your pup will enjoy it too!

2. Bike to the nearest park and read a book.

3. Plant a garden filled with delicious summer vegetables. The sound of birds chirping and whistling of the trees are sure to calm your nerves.

4. Stretch outside for 10-15 minutes.
