Patients travel from all over the United States for bariatric surgery performed by our team. To assist our long-distance patients, we offer a travel concierge to assist with travel accommodations and guide patients through the entire experience. Our clinic and hospitals are both conveniently located within 10 miles of the Louis-Armstrong International Airport. Typically, traveling patients arrive in New Orleans on Sunday night and meet with Dr. Lavin for a consult on Monday. Their surgery usually takes place the next day, and the patient will spend the following next in a nearby hotel. Dr. Lavin meets with the patient for a follow-up on Thursday morning, then the patient is ready to fly home.
